What You Like About Yourself

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

Your main relationship in life is with yourself. Many times because of media and other influences, you might become so outer directed that you forget that. Every experience that you go through in this life is basically with yourself. This is why it is important to reaffirm the things that you like about yourself. This is not being a narcissist but looking into yourself to see the best in yourself.

Try this excercise daily for a week:
On the first day write five things that you like about yourself. Do not include your physical attributes. If you have trouble thinking about five things then think about people you like and you probably posssess some of their positive attributes.

Continue the process everyday thinking about five new things that you like about yourself.

At the end of the week read to yourself while looking in the mirror what you listed.

When you take time to experience yourself the way you experience those you love and admire, you become your best companion on life’s journey…

Use Your Wisdom Combined With Intuition

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

When you need to make a decision, utilize your wisdom combined with your intuition. Do not make your decisions based only on your instincts. Also do not make your decisions based solely on your rational logical mind. By combining your rational mind with your instincts you tap into two sources which allows you to take the best course of action.
You will notice when you do this that your intuitive and pragmatic sense of logic will always point you in the right direction if you access both sources.

Remember sound choices come from taking the time and understanding the whole situation that you are dealing with from many different angles. Do not rush into action by using your instincts. Take time in making your decision. Think about the consequences of your decision and choose your words carefully. You will then make decisions that have a positive outcome and a positive impact on your life and the lives of others.

The Sun Shines No Matter What Happens

Sunday, April 26th, 2009

When you are feeling sad and bad things happen, it helps to remember and focus on the sun. It is good to concentrate on the fact that although you cannot always see the sun it is always shining. Despite its sometimes cloudy appearance it is still shining. The clouds are only filtering the view of the sun temporarily. If darkness has fallen you know that somewhere on this earth even when it is dark where you live, the sun is shining. It is only a matter of time when it will shine where you live again.

When you focus on the image of the sun, you realize that things are still in motion in the universe, even if your life may be in a standstill at the moment. The sun also reminds you that you need to have faith and patience and that your truth is never truly extinguished. Your light remains within you no matter what is going on around you.

You can continue to follow the cues from the sun and continue to do your work. In doing this you exercise great patience. You make sure that you are prepared when great oppportunity knocks at your door and all of the elements are in perfect alignment to demonstrate your many gifts.Buy Joy of Relaxation CD

What DO I Really Want

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Do you feel that life is pulling you in all different directions? Do you feel scattered in your behaviors?? You might consider focusing on what you truly want out of this life. Try taking a few minutes a day and deep breathe and relax. After you do this, take ten minutes each day to freely write down your thoughts. Do not edit them.
Do this for five days and do not look at the writing till the end of five days. When you look at your writing you will see a pattern emerging. You will find this to be an excellent way to see your deeper wisdom about your life’s direction. By tapping into your subconscious thoughts through free writing, you can easily get a picture of your life. Letting your thoughts flow freely means that you are learning about what you really want free from judgments or criticism. It gives you a greater sense of purpose. It will lessen your confusion and help you to see the direction you want in your life.

Cooperation

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Cooperation is simply acting together for the common good of all concerned. Although it might sound good to you it is often difficult for some to get around this notion. Finding the proper balance to ensure good for all people can oftentimes be very difficult. Keep in mind in nature their are symbiotic relationships between unlikely allies and they seem to make it work. For example: a bee and a flower,a bird and a rhinoceros and fish and sharks.

So how can you learn to cooperate in the most challenging of situations?? First, you can get a greater understanding by putting yourself in the other persons shoes. If you search for commonalities not differences this will put you in a more cooperating mood.
Try to concentrate on the fact that there is more than one way to approach situations and personal and public goals. Let go of the necessity to be right. Always be kind in your approach to others.Believe in achieving a solution that benefits the others goals as well as your own. Your shift in perception will be part of the solution and then it is a win win situation for all involved..

Recreation

Recreation needs to be represented in our lives as well as work and ambition. To accomplish this we must make playtime a priority. We will still be able to steel ourselves when the need for great responsibility arises. However, by having balance in our lives we will be better able to cope when we need to. As you make time for fun your mood will improve and you will be less solemn no matter what happens!.

Honor Your Parents

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

It seems like the new generation does not have enough respect for their parents. They do not realize the sacrifices that are made in parenthood. They think that good times are the only thing that is important for them. The strong realization hits them when they lose their parents through an illness or other tragedy. The times that they spend with their parents are limited and do not ask for advice or help. When their parents are gone they wonder what their parents would say when they are in a difficult patch in their lives. If they only would connect and appreciate what they have when they have it much grief would be avoided and much wisdom would be the gift they would receive.

In other cultures parents are revered and treasured. Our culture has lost that concept and the children left behind have become devoid of spiritual strength in adversity as a result. The children that have the wisdom to understand the worth of their parents and appreciate them are indeed fortunate in the long run.

The Power of Round Shape

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

When you are thinking of having a gathering think of gathering people in a circle. The power of a circular shape is found throughout nature and it is a symbol of perfection. We make this perfect shape when we join others to form a circle. Being in a circle allows others to experience us as equals.. From tribal circles to the mythical round table of King Arthur the circle has been adopted by others in gatherings throughout history.

The circle is an archetype of wholeness and integration with the center to symbolize- the source. When a group of people come together in a circle they are united. This unity becomes more powerful if these people hold hands. This physical connection unites all that are participating, Because a circle has no beginning or end the agreement to connect allows the energy to circulate from one person to the next. The energy does not get disipated in the environment.
